Ardtornish Day 22

OK it’s getting silly now. It appears everywhere in the UK is under snow except wherever I am with a camera! We are promised some snow on Friday on low ground so I’m keeping everything crossed that it materialises.

As for today, we drove up through Glen Torridon to Redpoint to give Charlie and run on the beach. I stopped off a few times to take shots and ended the day up on the Bealach na ba, the pass over the mountains that leads to Applecross. From up there, I braved the elements and crossed a snowfield to shoot a beautiful, crisp sunset over Skye.

We’re setting off early tomorrow to return to Ardtornish where I’m hoping to visit the local sand mine and also to shoot from atop Kinlochaline Castle. Hopefully the snow will be with us after Friday for this, as it would provide an ideal way to start winding-up our Winter Highland trip.
